Team Vitality eliminate Extra Salt from DH Masters
A masterful performance from star player ZywOo helped the struggling French roster to victory.
Team Vitality ended a four-match losing streak with a 2-1 win against Extra Salt.
The victory was secured after a brilliant performance from Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, who was the main reason, why Team Vitality won in the end.
It started fairly even on Overpass which is one of Extra Salt's favorite maps. Here the NA team was keeping track of the Frenchmen until 5-5. From here on there was only one team on the server, and Extra Salt was handed a heavy defeat on their own map pick.
On Dust2 it did not look like, that Extra Salt had the comeback in them. At the break, it was 9-6 for Team Vitality, and everything seemed to lean towards a 2-0 win. But then Josh 'oSee' Ohm stepped up. The American went 15-3 in K-D in the second half, where the North Americans completely overran the defense from Vitality. A 10-1 win in the second half turned the second map in favor of Extra Salt and brought Nuke into play as the decider.
The nuclear power plant was the final destination for one of the two teams at DreamHack Masters Spring. With the lackluster performance from Team Vitality in the second half on Dust2, everything was up for grabs for Extra Salt to make the upset.
