Former Cloud9 player retires from CS:GO
Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek has announced, that he will pursue a career in business.
The South African player Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek will not continue his career in competitive CS:GO. The 23-year-old announced his retirement on Twitter today.
Sonic has been benched on Extra Salt since October last year. His career started on the South African team Bravado Gaming in 2015 before he moved to the United States, where he joined Cloud9 before transitioning to Extra Salt. Here he was part of the team that won two consecutive DreamHack Open North America tournaments in March and June 2021.
