Talented Finn makes switch to Valorant
Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen has retired from CS:GO and will switch his focus to Valorant.
The 19-year-old Finn made the announcement on Twitter today.
Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen was signed as the new big hope on the Finnish CS:GO scene last year, when he joined ENCE. The young player had already been dubbed as one to watch, but along with ENCE he never reached his potential.
The Finn was also part of an ongoing dispute with the creator of Counter-Strike, Valve. The company had issued a VAC ban on his account due to cheating, but according to the ENCE player, the account was no longer in his possession when the incidents occurred. The ban prevented the Finn to compete in any Majors in the future. You can learn more about the VAC ban here.
ENCE has already announced their new roster without jamppi. You can see it here.
