EZ4ENCE! ENCE wins first major title since 2019
With a dominant performance in the Grand Final against MOUZ, ENCE lifted their first tier-1 trophy in four years.
The underdogs from MOUZ had already surpassed any expectations by qualifying for the Grand Final. Here they came short against a well-oiled ENCE roster, that had Alvaro 'SunPayus' Garcia in absolute top form.
The match started on Mirage, where ENCE quickly established a big lead going into the second half 11-4 ahead. ENCE stole MOUZ’s map pick by winning the map 16-9.
On Nuke it took ENCE a couple of rounds to get going, but from here on they simply outmaneuvered, outgunned, and outcalled their opponents. David 'frozen' Čerňanský and Jon 'JDC' de Castro did everything they could to prevent the 2-0 result, but the rest of the MOUZ roster was absent on the server.
ENCE took home Nuke 16-10 and could lift the trophy in front of the audience at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. ENCE qualified for IEM Cologne by winning and also took home $100.000 in first prize.
