After ENCE's decision to make an overhaul on their CS:GO division and move to a new international roster the promising 19-year-old talent in Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen was benched. It came as a surprise to many as he had proven himself as a confident and dependent player within the Finish roster. 

"Jamppi" announced shortly after that he would be making his move to Valorant where he would have the opportunity to start from scratch once again. The decision left many CS:GO fans across the world in shock as he had just begun his journey within the professional Counter-Strike scene. Many people thought that this would only be a temporary move untill he was represented with a new chance at a new Counter-Strike team. 

In his stream the other day, however, "Jamppi" confirmed that he is not going to be moving back to CS:GO anytime soon.

" Olkkonen has had one of the most troublesome history with Counter-Strike. The young Finn has been banned from all Majors since an event in his youth.

Being banned from all the Majors caused the Finn to leaved Counter-Strike. Earlier this year, Jamppi announced his switch to Valorant.

Today Valve changed its policy towards VAC bans, which means that players with VAC bans more than five years old are now eligible to participate in the Majors. The former ENCE player reacted to the news on Twitter.

A few years ago Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen was dubbed as one of the most exciting prospects of CS:GO. The Finn had everything going for him except one thing. He was banned by Valve.

At an age of just 19-years-old Jamppi announced his retirement earlier this year, and now the switch to Valorant has been completed.

Jammpi has played 59 maps for ENCE since his debut in April 2020.

The 19-year-old Finn made the announcement on Twitter today.

Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen was signed as the new big hope on the Finnish CS:GO scene last year, when he joined ENCE. The young player had already been dubbed as one to watch, but along with ENCE he never reached his potential. 

The Finn was also part of an ongoing dispute with the creator of Counter-Strike, Valve. The company had issued a VAC ban on his account due to cheating, but according to the ENCE player, the account was no longer in his possession when the incidents occurred. Another change to the ENCE roster seems imminent. The Finnish Website Ilta-Sanomat reports that the 19-year-old Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen's career at ENCE is over.

According to the website the young Finn is not included in the new ENCE roster, which is rumored to include non-Finns for the first time in the organization's history. Instead "Jamppi" will switch to Valorant, if he does not receive any offers from other teams.

The story of Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen's CS:GO career has been filled with drama. The young Finn has sued Valve over a VAC ban on his account, which prevents him from competing in any Majors in the future.

The promising ENCE player Elias “Jampii” Olkkonen has a VAC on his name, due to a 6-year old case where Valve believed the Finnish player has cheated on his one of his Steam accounts. Jamppii himself was saying that it’s was one of his friends playing on the account. However, the VAC ban still stands up to this date. 

The renowned CS:GO expert Chad “Spunj” Burchill joins the debate in Richard Lewis’ “First to 16”. The former Renegades player says that it doesn’t make any sense that the young Finn still have a VAC ban, even though Valve has admitted that he didn’t have cheated.

The VAC ban means that Jamppi can't attend every Valve sponsored event, as every Major and some other big tournaments. The ban allegedly ruined Jamppi's potential transfer to the star-studded OG organization. The 18-year AWPer was heavily rumoured to be the fifth player and last player for Aleksib's troops, but the ban meant that they went for mantuu instead.
