stavn: My goal for 2021 is to improve
Martin “stavn” Lund was Heroic’s best player in both of their title-winning campaigns and had a number of solid events in 2020.
Heroic’s 18-year-old star had the tenth-highest damage output in 2020 with an 80.4 ADR and was an exceptional fragger for the Danish squad with 0.72 kills per round. stavn also had well above average KAST (72.1%) and impact rating (1.11), which resulted in the 18-year-old being the 14th highest-rated player of the year (1.13) in notable events.
stavn excelled when it mattered most, as he had the eight-highest rating when taking only the most competitive competitions into consideration (1.12 rating at top-tier event). In a solid sample size of 50 maps in big event playoffs, stavn ended with an impressive 1.15 rating.
Despite not getting any MVP medals in 2020 and being among the EVP’s (Exceptionally Valuable Player) only three times, he was in the running for MVP in DreamHack Open Fall and ESL One Cologne EU as Heroic’s best player in their title runs.
“My goal for 2021 is to improve. It always will be. There will always be room for improvement. Both in life and, of course, in CS.” the Dane said in an interview with HLTV.org.
