Shaky Gambit makes their way to playoffs at IEM Summer
Complexity proved to be a difficult task for Hobbit and company.
Gambit will be one of the six remaining teams for the second week of IEM Summer. The world's #1 bestet Complexity after a three-map thriller.
It started according to the plan and what everyone expected beforehand. Gambit was in complete control on Mirage, where Ax1Le made all the difference with his +8 entry kills during the 23 maps, that it took the Russians to win Complexity's map pick.
As the match turned to Overpass, Complexity's tournament life was ticking fast. But in an almost unheard fashion, blameF and his team outmaneuvered the Russians. In-game leader Vladislav 'nafany' Gorshkov was simply outplayed by the brilliant Complexity roster, who ran with Overpass.
So what was going to happen on Vertigo? Would Complexity continue its momentum, or would Gambit restore order and set things straight? Well, both things happened. Complexity gave everything, and looked like a surprise winner, after catching Gambits lead. But then the Russians came alive. The mere thought of making an early exit brought out the best of them, and of course the match ended with a clutch from the new clutch king of Counter-Strike, sh1ro, who secured the win in the last round.
Gambit is now through to the Quarter-Finals at IEM Summer, while Complexity is out.
