SAW takes down Imperial to secure first win at ESL Pro League S17

SAW walks away victorious in an overtime thriller.

It was a close encounter between the Brazilian roster Imperial and the Portuguese team SAW.

Starting the series off on Vertigo, SAW took control of the game from the very start, the Portuguese team secured themselves a 6-0 lead in the early stages of the game. Despite Imperial coming back on the CT side to close out the half only behind 8-7, the Brazilian team didn't stand a chance on the T side. Switching over to the T side, Imperial couldn't convert their comeback in the first half as they got destroyed 8-0 on the T side. SAW won Vertigo 16-7.

Imperial picked Overpass as their map pick in the series. Similar to the first game but this time it was Imperial who came out pressing the speeder. Led by VINI Imperial took control over the Portuguese team on the weaker T side. A great first half that resulted in an 8-7 lead going into halftime in favor of Imperial. The Brazilian team who haven't played well in recent tournaments closed out Ancient 16-7 after they dominated SAW winning eight straight rounds to close out the game.

To decide the match, Nuke was left open as the decider. Imperial was once again the team to come out and control the game. The Brazilian team establishes themselves in an impressive first half on the T side with an 11-4 scoreline. SAW fought their way back to a close game towards the end. A 15-14 scoreline and 4vs2 situation in favor of imperial weren't enough to close out the game as SAW clutch the rounds to secure overtime. With the momentum in their favor, SAW closed out the game to secure themselves their first win at ESL Pro League Season 17.
