s1mple and company send Virtus.pro to the lower bracket
NAVI started off with a victory over Virtus.pro in their first match in the Group stage at IEM Katowice.
The Russian-Ukrainian side are through to the upper bracket following a clean 2-0 victory over YEKINDAR and company. NAVI are set to face off against FURIA in the upper semi-finals, while Virtus.pro will have to battle themselves out of the lower bracket against the Swedish Ninjas from NiP.

NAVI drew the first blood to the series by taking VP’s map pick of Dust2, even though it was YEKINDAR and company who were off to a flying start on T-side, finishing the first half with a 4-11 lead. flamie’s troops started to find their footing as they switched to T-side and grabbed 12 rounds in a row to close out the map 16-11, without letting VP add a single round to the scoreline.
On Train, NAVI was once again off to a slow start as VP stormed to a 2-7 lead on CT-side before s1mple and company took the last 6 rounds of the half. NAVI kept their lead in the second half and stormed through VP’s defense to close out the map 16-9, and wrap up the series with a quick victory.
