Report: Movistar Riders to bench smooya
The former BIG and Chaos profile is set to be axed from the Spanish team according to a report by Dexerto.
The UK international Owen “smooya” Butterfield is set to leave his current team of Movistar Riders, owing to familiar sources with the Spanish organization. According to Dexerto and Richard Lewis, it’s Movistar Riders who’ve decided to bench the AWPer, the media state in a newly released report.
The report also says that the organization wishes to create a fully Spanish team, which the recent benching of the Estonian Kristjan "shokz" Jakobson and their Brazilian IGL Lucas "steel" Lopes, also could imply. If the rumours are true the three replacements will be David "dav1g" Granado Bermudo, Raúl "DeathZz" Jordán Nieto, and Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia
smooya arrived at Movistar Riders at the beginning of February this year, joining the team after a long period with unsuccessful stints at Chaos and c0ntact Gaming. The powerful AWPer has since his arrival been by far the best performer on Movistar Riders if you look at the statistics. With an average rating of 1.22 and a K/D of 1.37, Smooya has proven that he’s a fierce weapon on the server.
