A great year from FaZe and rain ended with a 13th spot on the HLTV top 20.
It's the third time that Håvard "rain" Nygaard is a part of the world's top 20 players. The first time was back in 2017 and the second time in 2018. Both times were under the FaZe banner as well. Despite FaZe Clan´s constant chase after success, was rain loyal to the project and has always been a part of the roster from 2016 to now. FaZe chaced their roster countless times while the 28-year-old kept on playing for the North American organization.
Since his arrival to FaZe clan has the years not always been as colorful as they have been in 2022, a year with FaZe dominating the Counter-strike Scene for six months straight. The mixed European team managed to take four of the six big events trophies during the first six months of 2022. rain also secured FaZe their first-ever major trophy when he and FaZe came out on top against NAVI in the final at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. rain took the team to success and was crowned the MVP of the tournament. However, when talking about his own performance, he is quick to credit his teammates for their presence.
"Playing with 3 young and hungry players has made me fall back in love with the game and with all the work that comes with it. Sometimes I forget I'm becoming a part of the old guard but guess it's something that had to happen " - rain said to HLTV.
Next time we get to see rain and co. in action will be at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 when FaZe will take on the worlds best in Copenhagen, Denmark.
