Ninjas in Pyjamas is ready for the Semi-Final!
The Swedish team took down Natus Vincere at BLAST Premier Fall Finals.
The last quarter-final game at BLAST Premier Fall is set and over. Ninjas in Pyjamas took down the clear favorites from Natus Vincere in a Bo3 thriller.
The first map of the game came out on Inferno. A pick that NIP has found themself comfortable playing doing the last three months despite their poor results in recent tournaments. Starting out pressing the speeder was NIP on their T side. Controlling the map got Aleksib and co. 9 rounds. Switching over to CT, NIP played well closing out the game 16-10.
Next up was Mirage, a map picked by NAVI. Many would wonder why Ninjas would leave Mirage open as NIP only have 14% win rate in the past three months on the map. A great T side from NAVI gave the Russian/Ukrainian team a perfect start to the CT side. NIP wanted to close out the game with a 2-0 victory as they came out dominating NAVI on the T side. Coming up 13-8 in favor of NIP, NAVI started to see things crumble under the pressure. Four rounds in a row made from NAVI made things even at 13-13. The second map ended in an OT victory in favor of Natus Vincere who keeps things tired a 1-1 in maps despite a bad performance from all the players on the NAVI roster in both maps.
Overpass was left over as the decider. NIP started out on the weaker T side, but the Swedish team still managed to pull off nine rounds against the NAVI defense. With confidence, NIP took the win and the game with a 16-10 score line.
