NiKo on tough period: I’m not performing the way I’m supposed to
The Bosnian superstar is his own sternest critic, saying that he has heavily underperformed in recent months.
G2’s vital component Nikola “NiKo” Kovac hasn’t been up to his usual top level, which we have seen him play for ages. The powerful rifler has alongside the rest of G2 struggled a bit lately, presenting one disappointing tournament after another. Especially in the hindsight of them having this star-studded roster consisting NiKo, huNter-, and nexa.
- The way I’ve played over the past three months, it’s definitely not what I expected. I expected to play much better, and I’m not performing the way I’m supposed to. I’m not delivering the numbers the team needs. NiKo told Dot Esports in a recent interview.
The French-Balkan mixed team haven’t managed to make a deep run at some of the big tournaments in 2021. At the moment, their 5-6th place at BLAST Premier Fall Global Final stands as the best result. Something that could owe to NiKo’s historically low numbers, where he averaged a 1.11 Rating / 80.1 ADR / 1.08 K-D Ratio.
