NiKo: It’s never me deciding who’s in or out
Pley.gg had the chance to talk to Nikola “NiKo” Kovac in a video interview from Copenhagen.
G2’s 2022 season hasn’t been the one they hoped for. Following the arrivals of coach XTQZZZ, Aleksib, and m0NESY, G2 entered the year with high expectations and hopes of finally winning some events. However, in six months of existence, NiKo and company were unable to end their two-year-long title drought, with their best result coming from a 2nd place finish at IEM Katowice.
Before the start of this season, G2 decided yet again to switch up the roster following the string of disappointing results. This time Audric “JACKZ” Jug and Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen got removed from the roster, while Justin “jks” Savage and Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen became the new fresh faces of the squad.
We had the chance to sit down with G2’s Bosnian starplayer, Nikola “NiKo” Kovac, in an exclusive interview from Copenhagen as he and the rest of the squad heads into the BLAST Premier Fall Groups event. In the interview, NiKo talks about the new lineup, how much he really has to say when it comes to transfers, and much more.
