nexa is back in G2’s lineup for BLAST World Finals
The Serbian captain returns to G2’s lineup after resolving his Visa issues that ruled him out from IEM Winter.
Late in November it was announced that G2’s Serbian in-game leader, Nemanja “nexa” Isakovic wouldn’t be able to travel and participate at LAN due to facing Visa issues which ruled him out from the IEM Winter event which was held from December 2-12. Instead, the organization opted to bring back Kenny “kennyS” Schrub to the roster after the Frenchman had been benched since March.
G2’s Bosnian star, Nikola “NiKo” Kovac hinted in a post-match interview following the team’s semi-final loss against NiP that their captain will return for the last event of the year in Copenhagen, with the Serbian’s presence now confirmed as he has been spotted in the capital of Denmark for the media day of the BLAST Premier World Final.
“We should be playing with nexa at BLAST, that is a good sign for the team, we will feel much more confident going into that event,” NiKo said in the post-match interview. However, the roster of G2 haven’t practiced with their IGL for some time, which is something that has left the Bosnian star and the rest of the team quite unsure about their expectations for the event.
- We didn’t practice with nexa for 20 days so we don’t know how good we will be with him. We will try to use these couple of days to talk about how we want to approach BLAST. I’m just happy nexa will be back in time and that we can finish the season with our main lineup.
NiKo and the rest of G2 will be taking upon Ninjas in Pyjamas in their opening matchup at the event in Copenhagen to try and get revenge for their loss in IEM Winter. The match is set to kick-off at 13:30 (CET) on Wednesday.
