NaVi won comfortably in the Russian derby
A game between the two best-ranked teams in the world took place in the EPIC League CIS 2021 and NaVi delivered a great game against Gambit!
The first map was on Dust2, where Gambit got themselves a fantastic start where they were leading 7-1 as the CT side after the first eight rounds.
But NaVi and the great s1mple fought their way back in the game and made the half competitive as they came back to 7-8 as the half ended.
As we know by now Dust2 is the most T-side-dominated map of the competitive maps, and therefore many expected Gambit to pull the longest straw. But NaVi protected the bomb side, fantastically and gave themselves a 9-6 win in the second half after a fantastic performance by the Ukrainian duo B1T and simple.
The next map was on the rails where NaVi could end up winning the match, and this seemed to give the roster the extra boost in the back.
NaVi came out like lightning on Train, where they won the first half 13-2 after a nearly perfect defensive strategy by the Russian roster.
The game only seemed to be a formality, and the NaVi roster has taken their foot off the gas and this gave Gambit a slight sight of hope, as they managed to win eight rounds, but this wasn’t enough after the horrendous first half, as NaVi only needed to win the three rounds.
Natus Vincere secured the win 16-10 in a fantastic game, in a game where Gambit couldn’t get their game on.
Boombl4 played a great game and ended up as the match MVP.
