NAVI survive in Lisbon, BIG go home
The coachless Germans are done after just two matches.
The elimination match of Group B saw BIG and NAVI battling for survival. After two pretty one-sided maps, NAVI could hold their heads high as they are still in the tournament.
Both teams' AWPers had a great start to the NAVI's pick of Mirage and led the scoreboard for their respective teams. But while 's1mple' kept racking up frags, 'syrsoN' needed 'tiziaN' to take over for him. The German support continued the great performance on CT side Mirage that he had yesterday against ENCE, but as he was the only player with a positive score at halftime, BIG were down 11-4.
BIG had a much better T-side performance than they did in the series versus ENCE, but with the enormous halftime deficit were not able to catch up to NAVI who won the map.
The action continued on the BIG's favorite map of Dust2, and the Germans had a fine start on the T side. They quickly acquired with a four-round lead, but, just like on Mirage, found themselves dominated after fifteen rounds of play at 10-5.
BIG managed to pick up a few rounds in the second half but did not really show themselves from their best side today. NAVI, therefore, eliminated the Germans and go through to the quarter-finals.
