NAVI defeat Liquid 2-0
NAVI secure their life at BLAST Premier Global Final 2020
The battle for survival between NAVI and Team Liquid was set to begin over on Inferno, as Liquid sought to get a strong start on their own map pick. This, however, wasn't the case as NAVI with Valeriy "B1T" Vakhovskiy performing better than previously and, of course, "s1mple" just being "s1imple" managed to best newly signed Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and his teammates from Liquid. NAVI managed a slim victory over Liquid at a scoreline of 16-13 on Inferno.
The second map was NAVI's map pick Nuke. Team Liquid was seemingly not shaken by the previous map as they came flying out of the gate and managed an early 7-1 lead. The early lead, however, soon diminished as NAVI clawed themselves back into the game. The two teams went to halftime as close as possible at 8-7 favoring Liquid. The second half began as the first had ended, with Liquid being run over by NAVI. The Russian roster powered through and managed a 13-8 lead. Yet Team Liquid refused to give up without a fight and almost made a comeback as NAVI ultimately closed the BO3-series 2-0 with a 16-14 map win on Nuke.
NAVI will face Vitality tomorrow in the Consolidation Final and a chance for a spot in the Grand Final against Astralis. The match between NAVI and Vitality will begin at 16:30 (CET)
