NAVI coach: We would have kept m0NESY, if we had a six-man roster
Andrei "B1ad3" Horodenskyi opens up about the transfer of one of the most promising players in the world.
Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov is currently one of the most hyped-up players in the world of CS:GO. The 16-year-old Russian has been the center of several transfer rumors linking him to G2.
But why is NAVI not keeping their own talent? We asked the coach of Natus Vincere, Andrei "B1ad3" Horodenskyi.
- There was no room, no chance for him to play in this lineup. At this moment, when we are dominating, it would be stupid to make any change.
- We would add him if we were able to have a six-man roster, the 35-year-old coach says in an interview with Pley.gg.
"He gets nervous"
The young Russian has received praise from a lot of different players throughout the last couple of months.
But maybe the expectations for the NAVI Junior player should be lowered a bit.
- m0NESY gets really nervous in important matches. He was not performing at his best in the most important matches of his career already, B1ad3 explains.
The experienced coach also has some doubts, if Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov should be considered as the main AWP'er on his next team.
- I can't see him as the main sniper actually. I don't think, that it is a great idea. Lately, he was missing a lot of important shots in official matches. I don't know if that will disappear, but it is not good for a sniper to miss shots. A good sniper will hit nine out of ten shots, and then he will be one of the best in the world.
- He is still young, and he has really great individual skills with great mechanics. So he can be a really great player if a good coach will now mentor him on a tier-1 level with proper knowledge.
