NAVI blows G2 out of the server
“s1mple” and company took down G2 in the semi-finals to reach the IEM Beijing Grand Final.
Natus Vincere defeated G2 in the playoffs of the event with a 2-1 victory on Train (16-12) and Nuke (16-3). It all came down to Nuke as the decider where NAVI dominated G2 out of the server as the Russian-Ukrainian side tormented the defense of Nemanja “nexa” Isakovic’s troops.
Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev was the top player of the match overall and finished with a 1.31 rating, 94.9 ADR, and a 65-49 score.
With the first Grand Finalist locked in, the event has to say goodbye to G2 in the process. Even with the recent addition of Nikola “NiKo” Kovac the G2 squad performed admirably throughout the tournament and it will be exciting to see how they develop with the roster in the future.
NAVI will meet the winner between Complexity vs. Vitality.
