Despite having one of the strongest rosters at the tournament, they were eliminated after losing 1-2 to Team Liquid in the Group A lower bracket final. In a post-match interview, the team’s captain, karrigan, spoke about FaZe’s performance and the challenges they faced in this recent month.
According to karrigan, he knew coming into the tournament that FaZe wouldn’t be able to hit 100% due to circumstances that forced the team to play without their star rifler, rain, at BLAST. The absence of one of their key players was a major factor in FaZe’s performance and karrigan acknowledged that it was a significant challenge for the team.
karrigan also expressed gratitude towards the fans who supported FaZe throughout the tournament, stating that the support of the fans gives them a lot of motivation, especially when things were looking tough.
