Is the Kreig still viable?
The Krieg was subject to a substantial nerf but is it still useful?
The Krieg, otherwise known as the SG 553, was nerfed back in April 2020. The nerf came after it had begun to absolutely dominate the professional Counter-Strike meta. Being extremely accurate with its scope and addition to that being a one-shot kill in the head, it was the best weapon in the game by far. But after the needed nerf, it became less and less used in official games.
However, some pros still wield the gun on some occasions, and perhaps it is more balanced now than ever before. If you ask G2 superstar Nikola "NiKo" Kovač it is definitely still viable and can act somewhat as an AWP. In an interview he explains his usage of the gun in recent games:
