Hobbit: Complexity and Vitality are going to have an advantage
In a press session, we spoke with Gambit’s Hobbit while they’re waiting for the result of Complexity vs. Vitality.
The Russian-side from Gambit guaranteed themselves a spot in the playoffs bracket in ESL Pro League with a 4-1 record in their group and got to skip a round in the bracket stage. Now they’re currently waiting for the result of Complexity vs. Vitality to find out which one of the teams they’re going to face in the quarter-finals.
In a press session before the EPL playoffs, Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov spoke about the matter, and how it feels to be skipping straight to the quarter-finals. While many will think it's a big advantage, Hobbit disagrees. The 27-year-old stated that it’s important to quickly get the feeling of being in the playoffs instead of missing a series of more game time to practice. Therefore, he thinks that Complexity and Vitality are going to have an advantage as they’re getting to play the opening game in the playoffs.
“In my opinion to play the first game in playoffs, which we are not going to, is very important. The practice you get in tournament games is the best for teams in CS:GO. So, of course, in my opinion, Complexity and Vitality are going to have some kind of advantage as they already will get the feeling of the playoffs, while we need to adapt fast.”
The quarter-final match between Gambit and the winner of Complexity vs. Vitality will kick off on Thursday at 19:15 (CET).
