Heroic shuts down AGF evading the upset
The world #1 moves past their fellow countrymen in a confident 2-1 win in Elisa Invitational 2.
Heroic was a bit pressured going into the match due to their loss against Apeks in the first group match and had to win against AGF to advance in the tournament.
It started out well for Heroic with a cruising 16-6 victory on Inferno. But they didn’t manage to maintain momentum on the second map on Overpass. AGF defeated Heroic 16-7 on their map pick through a stellar performance from the former North player Kristou.
Rene “TeSeS” Madsen explained the map loss to the desk in a post-game interview.
“We made a lot of stupid mistakes on Overpass that AGF punished”
Heroic, however managed to pick up the pieces in the last map on Nuke, displaying this high-level Counter-Strike which have brought them to the top of the rankings. Leading the scoreline IGL cadiaN, helped his team beat AGF 16-6, avoiding a possible upset in the 2-1 victory.
Heroic will play Apeks tomorrow in the important game at the Blast Premier qualifier, Elisa Invitational 2.
