Heroic defeat BIG and qualifies for Major
A well-playing Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz could not prevent BIG from going down to the 2-2 bracket.
After yesterday's disappointment for Danish Counter-Strike with the early exit of Astralis from the RU RMR tournament in Malta, there was something to smile about today. Heroic won the Danish vs German derby and qualified for next month's Major in Rio.
The win was established on Mirage, where Heroic showed some good Counter-Strike on both the defense and offense. BIG's in-game leader Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz did everything in his power to change the outcome, but Heroic proved too strong.
Almost the exact picture was the case on Inferno. This time BIG managed to win one round more, but that was not enough to prevent Heroic from winning their own map pick, 16-12.
BIG will get one last chance of qualifying tomorrow, while Heroic can begin to prepare for the IEM Rio.
