The action started on Heroic’s map pick of Inferno where the Danes drew the first blood to the series. Even though Gambit finished off the first half with a 11-4 lead and took the pistol round in second half, the Russian’s didn’t manage to close out the map. Instead, Heroic converted their map pick in OT to go up 1-0 in the series after being down with seven rounds. Despite being on the losing side in map one, sh1ro still managed to find the most frags in the server.

It was a stomp on Gambit’s map pick of Vertigo as the Russian’s sprinted through the game. Hobbit and company dominated the Danish squad out of the server and tied up the series 1-1, allowing Heroic to only grab three rounds in the entire game. Heroic couldn’t stop Hobbit who was on fire and had 6 multi-kill rounds.
Regulation just wasn’t enough to separate the two teams and 30 rounds were too few to reveal the winner on Train. The third map of the series ended up being a highly contested affair with the Danes coming out on top after the fourth overtime. After 54 rounds, Heroic finally laid the map to rest and closed it out 28-26 to go up 2-1 in the series. Heroic’s captain, cadiaN was the man leading the charge with 11 opening kills.
After a bit longer break due to the OT’s on Train, Heroic and Gambit were once again ready to battle it out as they continued to the Danes map pick of Overpass. The score for the first half of Overpass couldn’t have been any closer, with the Russian squad taking the lead 8-7 going into the second half. As the teams switched sides, Gambit took the pistol round and Heroic stole the three rounds afterwards, lowering their deficit to only one round. But when Gambit’s money started rolling, the Russian squad started to control the map and denied the Danes entries on any of the bomb sites to close out the map convincingly 16-10, tying up the series 2-2.
Heroic won the ESL Pro League S13 title by taking down Gambit in a dominant manner on the deciding map of Mirage to wrap up the series 3-2. cadiaN and company completely shut down Gambit’s offense and the Russians only managed to get two rounds on the scoreboard. In the second half, the Danes ripped apart Gambit’s defense in the pistol round, but the Russian-side answered back by winning a force-buy round. It didn’t take long before Heroic finally closed out the map 16-6. cadiaN pulled of one of the most insane clutches in CS:GO history to wrap up the Grand final.
