Gambit with safe win against Evil Geniuses
Gambit delivered as expected against number thirty in the world!
A fantastic performance by the Russian roster who moves on to the semi-finals of the IEM Summer 2021.
The first map was to be played on Dust2, the legendary map!
Gambit didn’t disappoint in their map pick, where they delivered as expected with a map win, against an Evil Geniuses side who couldn’t do anything.
In the first half, it was a very even match, where Evil Geniuses was the T side, they had a half time breaking down the defense from Gambit, but they managed to win seven rounds in the first half, as Gambit won 8-7 in the first half.
In the second half Gambit shifted over as the T side, where we know they are so strong on Dust2, and they delivered as per usual, as they won eight rounds only losing three rounds in the second half.
In the second map on Overpass, the Evil Geniuses map pick, Gambit still delivered perfectly.
Gambit delivered perfectly in the tunnel on Overpass, where they managed to win 10-5 as the CT side because they delivered such a great defense, especially from the tunnels.
The game seemed to be a formality, as we know Gambit is great as the T side, and yet again they delivered a great performance.
They managed to win the six important rounds after played twelve rounds with was enough for Gambit to take the map and the game win, they won 16-11 on the last map.
