Gambit is ready for the Grand Final at V4 Future Sports Festival
Gambit secured a grand final spot at V4 Future Sports Festival after a 2-0 victory over BIG.
Gambit is through to the Final at V4 Future Sports Festival 2021, following a 2-0 victory over BIG in the Semi-finals. Hobbit and the rest of Gambit will take upon either Entropiq or Fiend, who will play the second Semi-final later today.
The action of the Semi-final matchup started with Gambit’s map pick of Ancient. Hobbit’s men got off to a solid start, pushing up to a 4-0 lead on the T side before BIG was able to breakthrough. The CIS squad only allowed four rounds to BIG in the first half as they were snowballing their advantage to an 11-4 half as sh1ro was unbreakable in his reign of terror. It took no time for Gambit to finish off the German roster at 16-5 to close out the first map. Sh1ro topped the scoreboard with a 28-7 K/D and 2.22 Rating.
Going into the pick of BIG on Dust 2, the Germans took the pistol round but couldn’t maintain a good start. Gambit won the next four rounds while they struggled to stabilize their defense on the B bombsite. Despite their troubles, Gambit still managed to take advantage 9-6 before halftime. In the second half, BIG put up a more competitive CT side which almost equalized the scoreline. The German squad did everything they could to make a comeback. But a loss on round 24 against a force buy destroyed their economy, and Gambit was back in control, taking the victory 16-12 and the series 2-0.
