Gambit finally beaten! NAVI wins StarLadder CIS RMR 2021

For the third time in the tournament, NAVI and Gambit had to face each other. But this time around, it was NAVI who came out on top.

In the Grand Final Gambit had one point added from the start after they made the final through the upper bracket. 1-0 quickly turned 2-0 after a 16-7 win on Ancient.

The pressure was on NAVI to win their own map pick, Dust2 to stay alive. With their backs against the wall, it suddenly looked like that s1mple and company just let loose. The first half was won 10-5, and both electronic and Perfecto performing, it was no problem winning the map.

It has been the problem for NAVI, that it has only been s1mple, that could really be relied on, whenever pressure amounts. Today we saw the full NAVI core bring their A-game. On Mirage it was B1T who chimed in with a 31-18 K-D ratio score, which was more than enough to win 16-11 and equalize the map score 2-2.

The decider was set on Inferno. And once again it was not s1mple, who had to carry the team. electronic, B1T, and Boombl4 all delivered, which meant that NAVI was able to challenge Gambit all the way. Four times in a row, Gambit had defeated Natus Vincere, but today that changed.

At 11-10 it NAVI finally succeeded in creating a gap, and very tellingly it was a team effort at the end, where electronic, B1T, Boombl4, and s1mple all made kills to seal the deal and secure Natus Vincere $40.000 and 2000 RMR points.
