FURIA seal IEM Fall NA title in front of their countrymen
paiN hand out the last Legend spot for the PGL Major to Evil Geniuses, due to their loss against Liquid in the 3rd place decider.
The last Regional Major Ranking tournament before the upcoming PGL Major has been concluded, with the Grand Final of IEM Fall North America being decided Sunday night. The victors ended up being the Brazilian Panthers from FURIA owing to a devastating 3-0 win against GODSENT in the Grand Final.
Andrei “arT” Piovezan and his troops were in control of things right from the very beginning of the Bo5 final. The aggressive Brazilians overpowered their countrymen from GODSENT time after time, round after round, which also showed through the statistics and the scoreboard. Especially FURIA’s Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato was presenting a high level of Counter-Strike, who also ended up being the standout performer in the match.

Nonetheless, did it matter, as Liquid swept the Brazilian after losing the first map on Overpass 16-9. The 2-1 result means that Evil Geniuses earn the Legend spot for the upcoming Major, while paiN must go through the Challenger Stage.
