Shock defeat for FURIA against Lynn Vision
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and his men are one defeat away from elimination.
The majority of Brazilian fans had pinned their hopes for success at the PGL Major in Copenhagen on FURIA. However, a disastrous day 1 for the Brazilian roster has resulted in their descent to the 0-2 bracket. FURIA suffered defeat in their first match of the day against their compatriots from Legacy. But their second match proved to be even more dismal. Facing Lynn Vision, the lowest-ranked team at the event, FURIA experienced a complete meltdown in the initial stages of the map.
With an 11-4 lead, Lynn Vision had ample opportunities to seal the match, but then they became overconfident. A dreadful mistake proved costly for Lynn Vision, allowing FURIA to rally and accumulate rounds.
However, the Brazilians lost momentum and fell victim to Lynn Vision's pistol in the 20th round, sealing their defeat at 9-13. Now, FURIA faces the daunting task of winning three consecutive best-of-three matches to qualify for the next stage.
KOI became the fourth team to go 0-2 at the event after the Iberian side suffered a narrow defeat to ENCE, with a score of 16-12. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and the rest of the Polish squad from ENCE staged an impressive comeback, bringing the match to a 1-1 status before Day 2.
Cloud9 and SAW each secured their second victory of the day, triumphing over Legacy and GamerLegion, respectively.
