FunPlux Phoenix announce departure from CS:GO
The Chinese organization will no longer have a CS:GO roster under their banner.
FunPlux Phoenix who have had an roster in CS:GO since January 2021 have officially made the decision to discontinue their investment in CS:GO division due to “limitations and difficulties during remote management.
That means the FPX lineup in Jesse “zehN” Linjala, Pavle “Maden” Boskovic, Martin “STYKO” Styk, Asger “Farlig” Jensen, and Luka “emi” Vukovic are all available to explore more options.
“All our members now are available to explore more options in CS:GO esports. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.” – FPX wrote in their statement.
It’s still unclear whether the players are free agents or still under contract, but it is possible that one of them may already be on the way out as a report from Draft5 indicates that Astralis may be exploring the possibility of acquiring the 22-year-old Dane, Asger “Farlig” Jensen to their lineup.
FPX’s biggest achievement in the last eleven months has been their title victory at a Snow Sweet Snow event in the beginning of the year and qualifying for IEM Summer.
