FaZe survives and sends Heroic home packing at IEM Winter
The international roster made several clutches to tip the match in their favor.
Heroic can start to book an early flight home from Stockholm after the Danish team lost their second match at IEM Winter in a row.
After yesterday’s upset loss against GODSENT, the Danes were tasked with eliminating FaZe to stay alive. The match started on Inferno, where Heroic seemed ready to steal FaZe’s map pick away. But in the second half FaZe came alive at the exact right moments and won a couple of map-deciding clutches to win Inferno.
On Nuke, FaZe continued their good showing on their CT-side. A 9-6 half was converted to a 16-13 win after some beast moments from FaZe’s Canadian rifler, Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken.
With the win, FaZe advances to the lower semi-finals, where they will face the loser of Gambit vs Virtus.pro.
