FaZe move past OG at IEM Katowice
OG couldn't find double digits on both Mirage and Dust2, where Twistzz and the rest of FaZe on the other hand strived.
FaZe survives the elimination match against OG at the lower bracket, to fight another day at IEM Katowice. A strong duo in Twistzz and broky was too big of a task for OG, which meant elimination time for Aleksib and company.
A high-flying Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken began the match in outstanding fashion and made Mirage his very own playground. Twistzz started alongside his FaZe teammates on the CT-side, where the Canadian superstar demolished the T-attack time after time, as he concluded the half with a 21-9 K-D and a staggering 2.16 Rating.
In the second half, Twistzz got a playmate in Helvijs “broky” Saukants who took over the control by presenting relentless aggression with his AWP, ending in countless vital entries which helped FaZe to grab the 16-7 win on the first map.
After losing their map pick, OG was held at gunpoint, owing to a loss on Dust2 meaning elimination time for the Aleksib-led team. However, the pressure couldn’t improve their performance, which meant that FaZe once again could cruise through OG, to set the overall score at 2-0.
