FaZe moves on at IEM Katowice 2023
FaZe is among the team that will be competing for the IEM Katowice 2023 trophy.
FaZe took upon IHC in an elimination match. The winner secures a spot in the playoffs. The losing team is out of IEM Katowice 2023.
The Mongolia team has taken the CS:GO community by storm in recent days. First, they took down ENCE to secure themselves a spot in the group's stages, but what looked like a lucky one-timer also managed to make an even more impressive upset as they dominated Cloud9 in a 2-0 victory.
After two days of impressive play from the IHC roster, the time came to an end as FaZe took down the Mongolian team in a 2-0 fashion.
Starting off on Inferno IHC came off to a good start as they took the first pistol round. But as the buy rounds started to come in for FaZe, IHC found it hard to strike through the defense. The mixed European team led by Finn "karrigan" Andersen gained a 9-6 lead switching over to the T side. What looked like a comeback from IHC who managed to take the lead at 10-9 came to an end as the world's number three started to play some great cs to take map one 16-11.
Up next, Ancient. A map that both teams has a high win rate on during the past three months, but with IHC falling short on their own map pick, they lost their motivation and confidence going into map two. FaZe dominated IHC and secure themselves Ancient 16-3.
