FaZe dismantle paiN in swift 2-0 victory
There was no chance of an upset, as the World's number one quickly won their first match at BLAST Lisbon.
The tournament favorites from Faze had no issues taking down the Brazilians from paiN in the first match of BLAST Premier Spring Finals in Lisbon.
Both on Ancient and Inferno there was simply too much difference in the levels of the highest and lowest seeds of the tournament. It started promising though for the Brazilians, who won six rounds on their T-side on Ancient. Normally that would a solid scoreline to secure a close match on the CT-dominated map, but paiN was not ready for the brutal T side, that Finn "karrigan" Andersen and especially Helvijs "broky" Saukants had in store for the second half, where FaZe won 7-1 to lock in the first map.
The dominance on the T side continued on Inferno. FaZe took a huge 11-4 lead into the second half, and let's just show this clip down below to highlight how well coordinated and brutal FaZe looked like in the entire match against paiN.
It ended with a 16-6 win on Inferno, which sends FaZe into the group final against the winner of G2 and Team Vitality tomorrow, while paiN will play an early elimination match tomorrow.
