ENCE and Cloud9 ready for Semi-Finals at ESL Pro League
Could ENCE go all the way and lift the trophy?
The third day of the ESL Pro League Season 17 playoffs was filled with two intense matches as the top CS:GO teams battled it out for a chance to advance to the semi-final. Vitality couldn't keep up with ENCE who has surprised everyone during this event so far.
The first match of the quarter-finals featured Vitality vs. ENCE, with ENCE coming out on top as they secure themselves a spot in the semi-final after a thrilling series that ended in a 2-1 victory in favor of ENCE. Despite ZywOo playing well once again, ENCE took advances of the mistakes Vitality made throughout the entire series. Vitality started out best as they won the map pick of ENCE 16-14. However, ENCE fought back and managed to recreate the reverse sweep to take the win.
The following match of the day saw Cloud9 take on MOUZ, with Cloud9 emerging victorious after a dominant performance from Ax1Le. With the victory over MOUZ, Cloud9 extends their win streak to eight. Starting off the series best was once again the underdog. MOUZ came out pressing the speeder on the first map as they closed out Inferno 16-10. But, with Ax1Le playing well and nafany calling some great stacks and tactics, Cloud9 saw themselves as victories after winning the two last maps of the series. 16-11 on Vertigo and 16-0 on Mirage.
Cloud9 and ENCE will face each other in the semi-final of EPL S17.
