device on s1mple: He’s the best player in the world right now
The Ukrainian beast is just two medals away from tying device’s MVP record.
Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is outperforming even the wildest expectations and has really managed to elevate his game to another level in 2021.
The Ukrainian star currently has five MVP medals to his name this year, being just two medals away from tying Nicolai “device” Reedtz’ record of 18 MVP’s, which could already happen in October at the long-awaited PGL Major Stockholm.
NAVI recently released a documentary about the Ukrainian called “s1mple formula”, in which we saw a mutual respect between the two AWPers, both inside and outside of the game. In the documentary, s1mple stated that he sees the Dane as the GOAT in CS:GO because of his incredible consistency and achievements. And now, NiP’s device has said that he is not worried that s1mple is catching up with him, stressing that his main focus is on winning events with his team, not individual awards. The Dane also labeled s1mple the “best individual player” in CS:GO.
“Individual accolades are just that. They’re cool and part of the game, but I honestly don’t care too much about them. For me, s1mple is the best individual. I think he will probably get there at one point or another because he’s also younger than me. It’s cool for him, he is a nice guy and his success is well deserved. For me, it’s more about looking at which tournaments we can win rather than which tournaments I can get an MVP from. It’s the second priority in some way. Kudos to him, you have to give it to him. He is the best player in the world right now, in my opinion:” device told DEXERTO.
