cadiaN: I admire the NAVI roster for staying together
The Heroic captain addresses the difficult circumstances NAVI are facing at the moment.
Natus Vincere is currently in an extremely difficult situation, seeing their home country being invaded and ruined by Russia, all the while competing at the very top of CS:GO.
Last month, NAVI’s CEO, Yevhen Zolotarov, commented on the situation concerning their roster, which fields three Russians and two Ukrainians.
- We are not going to work with people who live in Russia and who pay taxes to the Russian Federation. (…) we are ready to help relocate players who don’t share the Russian Federation’s politics, Zolotarov stated to Washington Post.
After yesterday’s match between NAVI and Heroic at the European RMR, Casper “cadiaN” Møller addressed the tough conditions NAVI are experiencing lately.
- NAVI are under some very difficult circumstances currently with what’s happening around the world. I honestly just admire them for staying together, being a group, and still performing to a high level – because it surely can’t be easy with how the world is looking at the moment.
When asked about yesterday’s win over NAVI compared to their heavy loss at ESL Pro League S15, cadian said the following:
- I had a theory, which I implemented to the boys yesterday – but I simply can’t reveal it here. It definitely changed some things, because we have been close before. (…) It was completely night and day from the last time we played NAVI.
