broky crowned as IEM Katowice 2022 MVP
The FaZe youngster has been awarded his first-ever MVP title after a splendid tournament.
From the very early stages in the Play-In event all the way to the top. That was the incredible journey FaZe went through this IEM Katowice, where they stunned the entire CS:GO scene by taking home the prestigious trophy after a long title drought, despite having to play with a stand-in over several occasions.
One of the key factors, if not the biggest, for FaZe’s success at the $1 Million tournament were the Latvian AWPer, Helvijs "broky" Saukants. The 21-year-old star rose to the occasion and delivered a phenomenal tournament under the guidance of the experienced Finn “karrigan” Andersen.
Besides ending as the highest-rated player of all, broky also showed up with huge clutches when FaZe needed them the most.

“Maybe it was luck”
In an interview with HLTV after the imposing 3-0 Grand Final win over G2, broky touched on the MVP title and his “newfound form”.
- I changed a lot of things before the tournament, so I'll see if it's just one tournament or many tournaments. If I stay consistent like this in the next tournaments, then I'll know if anything changed or not. Maybe it's just luck, broky said to HLTV.
