The 19-year-old AWP'er who took the world by storm
Gambit's recent success has brought with it newfound respect in the Counter-Strike community for the CIS region and their ability to play Counter-Strike. Alongside the focus being put on the CIS Counter-Strike scene, some new names have popped up and they are showing no signs of leaving the scene anytime soon.
One of the current best performing players is Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov, the 19-year-old AWP'er that helped Gambit elevate their performances to a whole new level. The young Russian player has been compared to the icon of Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev by many. Whether or not he can live up to the expectations is yet to be known, however, he is undoubtedly taking all the right steps in the right direction.
