100 Thieves took the last ticket on Sunday night, and the 32 teams for the year’s second Major are now known, from MOUZ at the top of Stage 3 to Lynn Vision in Stage 1.
The field for the PGL Major Singapore is set. 100 Thieves beat Wildcard 2-0 in the FiRe Last Chance final in Buenos Aires late on Sunday and took Europe’s 18th and final place, and with the 2 November VRS cut-off, all 32 invites are settled. HLTV published the full list just after midnight.
Europe have 18 teams, the Americas nine and Asia five. All 32 places were handed out through the Valve Regional Standings. Where a team starts depends on its place in its region, and within each stage the teams are seeded by Valve’s global standings.
Dates, format and prize money
The Major runs from 24 November to 13 December, with $1,250,000 in prize money and $500,000 for the winner.
- Stage 1, 24 to 27 November: 16 teams, Swiss format, Bo1 except for advancement and elimination matches (Bo3). Top 8 go through.
- Stage 2, 28 November to 1 December: the eight survivors meet the eight Stage 2 invites, same format.
- Stage 3, 2 to 6 December: the top eight Stage 2 teams join the eight best-ranked teams. All matches Bo3.
- Playoffs, 10 to 13 December at the Singapore Indoor Stadium: single elimination, Bo3, with a Bo5 grand final.
Falcons arrive as defending champions after their 3-0 win over FURIA in the Cologne final in June. FURIA come in as the PGL Masters Bucharest champions.

Four teams make their Major debut
HLTV counts four newcomers in Singapore.
- 100 Thieves have never played a Major, and they got there without dropping a map in Buenos Aires. The organisation qualified for ELEAGUE Major Boston in 2018 with the former Immortals lineup but were ruled out over visa problems. This time they bring five Major titles: four for device with Astralis and one for rain with FaZe in Antwerp in 2022. device also won the 1v1 that closed out Cache in double overtime on Sunday, with three seconds left.
- 1win won GLuck Moscow Cyber Games on Sunday, beating HOTU in the final, and finished 10th in Europe, good enough for Stage 2.
- DENDELE field the former Sharks lineup and come in seventh in the Americas.
- BC.Game play in Asia after Valve made an exception to let them qualify through the Asian VRS. That puts s1mple and Magisk in Stage 1.
Who missed out
The final weekend of the race left some familiar names at home.
| Team | Region | How it ended |
|---|---|---|
HOTU | Europe | Lost the Moscow final to 1win, then needed Wildcard to win in Buenos Aires |
Fnatic | Europe | Lost 3-2 to Eternal Fire after leading 2-0 in the Stake Ranked final |
NRG | Americas | Knocked out by Wildcard in the FiRe Last Chance quarter-final |
paiN | Americas | Went out of Gamers Club Masters, which ended their chances |
TYLOO | Asia | Withdrew from HyperX Retake in Lisbon and lost Asia’s last place to Lynn Vision |
FaZe did not. A week after we wrote that they were at risk following their loss to GamerLegion, they finished 16th in Europe and start in Stage 1.
Three things to watch before the Major
The FUT and Astralis roster knot. FUT are in Stage 2, but SunPayus is one match short of counting on their VRS roster, and cmtry, who is now playing for Astralis, still counts for FUT. FUT’s quarter-final loss to Nemiga in Bucharest left no time to fix it, and coach coolio has asked Valve for an exception for both players. PGL have not published the Major rosters yet.
Legacy’s lineup. Legacy moved n1ssim to the bench on 28 October and brought in ksloks as a stand-in until the end of the season, so the Brazilians go into Stage 3 with a new fifth player.
The nationalities. Across the 160 players in the current lineups, Russia have the most with 22, ahead of Brazil (19), Mongolia (12) and Denmark (10). Mongolia have two teams of their own in The MongolZ and Chinggis Warriors, plus Senzu and mzinho at BC.Game.
