kyxsan

Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski is a Macedonian in-game leader who went from the Balkan scene to calling for NiKo and m0NESY in Falcons. In 16 months, he led the Saudi team to seven finals but only one title, PGL Bucharest 2025.

Falcons benched him in April 2026, two months before they won the IEM Cologne Major with karrigan. In July 2026, he joined Aurora to lead their new international lineup.

From BLUEJAYS to a Major semi-final

kyxsan spent his first years in Macedonian and Balkan teams such as QSKE, Good Game and BLUEJAYS. With BLUEJAYS, he won the IESF World Championship 2021, and a year later he won the IESF World Esports Championship 2022 in Bali with North Macedonia’s national team, worth $50,000.

Norwegian organization Apeks signed him on December 30, 2022. Five months later, Apeks came through the European RMR qualifier and the RMR to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, where they beat Liquid 2-0 in the quarter-finals before losing 2-0 to Vitality in the semi-finals. It was his first Major.

HEROIC and the call from Falcons

HEROIC signed kyxsan on December 21, 2023, as part of a rebuild with NertZ and nicoodoz. In 2024, the team reached the quarter-finals of the Perfect World Shanghai Major and finished second at the Thunderpick World Championship 2024.

On January 4, 2025, Falcons signed him together with HEROIC teammates TeSeS and degster to play alongside NiKo, and m0NESY followed from G2 in April 2025. The new lineup reached the final of PGL Cluj-Napoca in February 2025 and won PGL Bucharest in April 2025 with a 3-0 final. It would be Falcons’ only trophy under his leadership.

The rest of his time in the team followed a pattern. Falcons lost finals at IEM Melbourne, BLAST Rivals Spring, ESL Pro League Season 22, BLAST Rivals Fall and the BLAST Bounty Finals in January 2026, where PARIVISION beat them 3-0. At the StarLadder Budapest Major in December 2025, Spirit knocked them out in the quarter-finals. After a third-place finish at IEM Chengdu in November 2025, kyxsan told HLTV that “something is definitely happening to us in these important games”.

Benched before the Major

Falcons benched kyxsan on April 20, 2026, after a third-place finish at IEM Rio, and signed karrigan the same day. The timing meant he could not join a new team before the Major roster lock. He wrote on X that he respected the decision.

A month later, he told the Half Time CS podcast that he had been told at IEM Rio and that it came as a shock. In the seven months with kyousuke, he pointed out, the team won 76 of 121 maps and made three grand finals. He told HLTV that the move was unfair.

I understand the decision, that we didn’t do the best this year and that at some point something has to change. But I do think it’s unfair to me, we were promised time and that this was something we wanted to do long term. I feel like we didn’t get that in the end, everything just fell apart.

Falcons won the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with karrigan in June. In September, NiKo said on the LINKED podcast that kyxsan had not handled feedback from his teammates well. kyxsan replied to HLTV that the comments only covered the last month or two and not his first year in the team.

Aurora’s international project

Aurora signed kyxsan on July 8, 2026, to replace Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli as in-game leader. Together with Jimpphat and coach Ashley “ash” Battye, he turned the former Turkish lineup with XANTARES, woxic and Wicadia into an international team. He explained the choice in an interview with Pley at the Esports World Cup.

Even since my first meeting with ash, he told me that he wants me to be kyxsan. That was really important for me to hear because the IGL needs to be comfortable because he’s the one leading the game, and if he’s not comfortable then things get harder for him but also for everyone else.

The results came in the autumn. Aurora beat Vitality 2-1 in the upper bracket final of StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 before losing the final 3-1 in a rematch. They finished third at ESL Pro League Season 24 and third at the Thunderpick World Championship 2026, where they beat Falcons 2-1 in the third-place match on October 18. In the group-stage rematch against 9z that sent Aurora to the semi-finals in Malta, kyxsan finished on a 1.45 rating, the highest in the series.
