Felipe “insani” Yuji is a Brazilian rifler who came through MIBR‘s academy and has played for the main team since January 2023. In 2021, he had nearly given up on Counter-Strike to study software engineering.
After brnz4n left in October 2026, insani was the last player on MIBR who had come through the club’s own academy. He is known for an aggressive, opening-duel style, and in May 2026 he set HLTV’s record for the highest single-map rating at an MVP event.

From a tryout to the main team
insani started playing in 2016, introduced to the game by his brother and friends, and played Gamers Club’s open leagues with players from Curitiba. By early 2021, he had put the game aside to focus on his studies.
In July 2021, MIBR launched Feitos no Brasil (Made in Brazil), a nationwide tryout for its new academy. More than 600 players signed up, and insani was one of three who made the first MIBR Academy lineup. He told HLTV in 2024 what the decision meant.
It was the best decision of my life. If it weren’t for that, I wouldn’t be here today.
With MIBR’s help, he convinced his mother to let him put college on hold and play full-time. On January 17, 2023, MIBR promoted him to replace JOTA, weeks before IEM Katowice 2023. The club presented its new lineup with a video.
His first LAN was the Katowice play-in, where he had a team-high 1.27 rating, according to HLTV.
Breakthrough in 2024
The rest of 2023 was uneven. MIBR missed the Paris Major at the Americas RMR, and insani ended IEM Rio and Gamers8 with ratings of 0.66 and 0.71. Late in the year, with drop and saffee added, MIBR reached the semi-finals of ESL Challenger Jönköping and BetBoom Dacha Dubai, and insani won his first HLTV EVP award.
In April 2024, MIBR won ESL Challenger Melbourne, and insani was named the event’s MVP with a 1.51 rating. In September, MIBR beat HEROIC and M80 to reach the semi-finals of ESL Pro League Season 20. Two months later, they went 3-0 at the Americas RMR to qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major, insani’s first Major.
In Shanghai, he had a 1.45 rating over the eight maps of the Opening Stage. MIBR then beat NAVI in the Elimination Stage before MOUZ knocked them out.
DRAFT5 ranked him the second-best player in Brazil in 2024.
The constant in a changing lineup
The next two years brought one change after another. drop, Lucaozy, saffee, exit and kl1m all left the starting lineup, and MIBR went out in Stage 2 at both Majors of 2025. In January 2026, the club signed LNZ and venomzera, with LETN1 as coach, and won their first trophy together at Circuit X Redemption Curitiba.
At the CS Asia Championships in May 2026, insani had a 3.28 rating on Ancient against B8, with 25 kills, 8 deaths and 163.6 ADR. HLTV called it the highest map rating at an MVP event, ahead of huNter-‘s 3.09. MIBR reached the semi-finals and finished fourth.
At the IEM Cologne Major 2026, MIBR made it through Stage 1, helped by insani’s man-of-the-match series against Lynn Vision, but B8 eliminated them in Stage 2.
Staying, for now
After the Major, Legacy had insani on their shortlist to replace n1ssim, but he let Legacy know that he would stay with MIBR, according to Dust2 Brasil. His contract ran until December 2026. In August 2026, Alexandre “Kakavel” Peres, CEO of MIBR owner EZOR, told Dust2 Brasil that the club had made him a new offer and called him “a product of MIBR”, HLTV reported.
MIBR signed AWPer nqz in June and Argentine rifler tomaszin in August 2026. With them, MIBR reached the semi-finals of FISSURE Playground 3, where insani was an EVP, and finished fourth at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026. In October, he had a 1.78 rating in a 2-1 win over Astralis at Stake Pulse Beat III. MIBR lost the final 2-1 to NIP.
