Controlled chaos is the only way to describe the impact of Shahar “flameZ” Shushan. Most entry fraggers accept that their job is to die for information, but flameZ rejects that premise entirely. He swings into bomb sites with the full intention of killing everyone there. The Israeli superstar turned the hardest role in Counter-Strike into a highlight reel during Vitalityโ€™s historic 2025 season. We often praise passive players for their smarts, but flameZ proves that intelligence is also knowing exactly when to hold the W key. At just 22 years old, he stands as a two-time Major champion and the undisputed engine of the world’s best team.

Career History

flameZ did not take the traditional route through a domestic superteam to reach the top. His journey began in the trenches of FACEIT Pro League (FPL), where he forced international squads to pay attention through sheer mechanical skill. Endpoint recognized his potential first in 2020 and gave him a platform to showcase his talents against lower-tier competition.

However, his ceiling was clearly higher. OG Esports acquired him in 2021, where he spent two years refining his game sense against Tier 1 opposition. While OG struggled to lift trophies, flameZ consistently posted numbers that defied his difficult roles. In June 2023, Team Vitality made the call to bring him in to replace the legendary dupreeh. It was a massive shoe to fill, yet flameZ stepped in seamlessly and helped the team secure trophies almost immediately.

Born in Israel, Shahar faced the challenge of a limited domestic scene. He built his reputation online by dominating aim maps and pugs with a style that looked frantic to an observer but felt controlled to him. His transition to Vitality marked a shift in his career trajectory. He reunited with his close friend and countryman, Spinx, creating a deadly rifling duo that powers the Vitality engine.

The pressure of joining a Major-winning roster could crush a lesser player. Instead, flameZ brought a fresh energy to the server. He became the “glue” guy who is willing to jump through smokes to create space for ZywOo, but skilled enough to kill everyone on the site if they ignored him.

2025: The Year of the Golden Hornet

If 2023 was the breakout, 2025 was the masterclass. With the addition of ropz to the lineup in January 2025, Vitality became an unstoppable force, and flameZ was the tip of the spear.

He helped lead Vitality to a historic double Major year. First, they conquered the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June, where flameZ lifted his first Major trophy on his 22nd birthday. He followed this up by securing the StarLadder Budapest Major in December to cap off a nearly perfect season.

By the end of 2025, flameZ had secured his second consecutive #7 spot on the HLTV Top 20 players list. He collected four EVP awards throughout the year, proving he was no longer just a support piece but a star in his own right.

2026: No Signs of Stopping

The new year started exactly where the last one ended. In February 2026, flameZ and Vitality lifted the trophy at IEM Krakรณw, signaling that their era of dominance was far from over.

Playstyle Breakdown: The Space Creator

flameZ plays one of the hardest roles in Counter-Strike, and he makes it look fun.

1. Fearless Entry You will often see flameZ as the first face the enemy sees. He never baits his teammates. He swings wide to break the crosshair placement of the defenders. Even if he dies, he usually deals enough damage or gains enough info for Spinx or ropz to trade him instantly.

2. The Anchor On the CT side, he frequently holds difficult anchor positions. These spots require immense patience and the ability to spray down multiple enemies rushing a choke point. His spray control is robotic and allows him to turn a 1v3 site rush into a manageable retake for his team.

3. Mechanical Speed His aim is snappy. Unlike passive holders, flameZ relies on high velocity flicks. If you watch his POV, his crosshair moves aggressively as he checks corners with a speed that overwhelms opponents who hold static angles.

Personality & Atmosphere

Shahar is arguably the “vibes commander” of Team Vitality. In a game that can tilt players easily, his positivity is a tactical asset. Mic logs often catch him cracking jokes or hyping up teammates after lost rounds. This mental resilience pairs perfectly with the stoic nature of teammates like ZywOo. He reminds us that while Counter-Strike is a job, playing with a smile often yields the best results.
