donk

If you follow Tier-1 Counter-Strike 2 closely, you already know the name. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets is not just another prodigy story. He is the benchmark entry fragger of this era.

At 19, the Russian rifler for Team Spirit has a Major title, multiple MVPs, an Intel Grand Slam contribution, and the #1 spot in the HLTV ranking for 2024.

📋 Personal Information & Settings

From Tomsk to Tier-1

Born in Tomsk, Russia, donk touched Counter-Strike at four years old. By six, he was already playing CS:GO seriously. Most players experiment at that age. He trained.

Local LANs in Tomsk quickly became irrelevant for him. The gap was obvious.

In 2021, talent scout Sergey “OverDrive” Birukov brought him into Team Spirit Academy. That move changed everything. Over two years, he turned raw mechanics into structured aggression. In the WePlay Academy League, he posted ratings above 1.30 consistently. Against top academy prospects, that is absurd.

The Tier-1 Debut That Shocked Everyone

He joined Spirit’s main roster in July 2023. No adjustment period. No quiet phase.

At IEM Katowice 2024, he delivered one of the strongest individual events we have ever seen. A 1.70 rating across a Big Event is rare air. Spirit won the title. He took MVP. The scene recalibrated overnight.

Later that year, he secured the Shanghai Major and became the youngest Major MVP in history. By the end of 2024, HLTV ranked him #1 in the world.

That season set a new standard for what a rookie year can look like.

🏆 Biggest Tournament Wins

In his short career donk has already several impressive tournament wins under his belt. Here are the biggest so far.

Katowice 2024 deserves special attention. He dropped a 1.70 rating and bulldozed FaZe Clan 3-0 in the final. If you watched that event live, you remember the aim duels. They were not 50-50s. They looked unfair.

2025: Adaptation Under Pressure

When a 17-year-old ties an all-time rating record at Katowice, that is not a hot streak. That is generational trajectory.

Coming into 2025, every team anti-stratted him. Early round aggression got studied frame by frame. Utility protocols targeted his entry paths.

So he adjusted.

He slowed down when needed. Improved mid-round calls. Picked smarter timings. The result? Another MVP at IEM Cologne 2025, inside the Cathedral of Counter-Strike.

His rivalry with Team Vitality and Mathieu Herbaut defined the season. Even so, he closed 2025 ranked #2 globally. Consistency at that age separates stars from legends.

Playstyle Breakdown: Why He Wins So Many Duels

If you analyze demos, three patterns stand out.

1. Controlled Chaos

He plays with a “hold W” mentality, but it is calculated. He isolates angles and forces defenders into raw aim fights.

2. Elite Spray & First Bullet Accuracy

His crosshair placement reduces adjustment flicks. That is why he multi-frags even when flashed or traded late.

3. True Entry Impact

He does not bait. He cracks sites open in the first 20 seconds. That early damage shifts rotations and gives Spirit map control instantly.

Add emotional intensity on LAN and you get momentum swings that tilt opponents. He feeds off stage energy and uses it.
