You know there’s an old saying: “Never bring a knife to a gunfight.”

Well, whoever came up with that one might be right, even though he clearly has never seen a game of Counter-Strike.

A lot of players have felt the embarrassment of getting knifed in a pro match, but it’s probably worse to fail a knife kill than getting killed. Nemanja “huNter-“ Kovac and Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev both failed a knife kill in today's matchup in the semi-final. “huNter-“ was fast enough to take up his gun to kill “s1mple” after failing with his blade, while “s1mple” lost his life as he tried to kill the bomb planter with his knife.
