Stewie2k before Grand Final: It’s not the same old Astralis
Liquid caller assures that they are ready for Astralis today, even though having huge mouse problems yesterday.
The North American team of Liquid haven't had a successful 2020 so far, with only one title the entire year. However, the star-studded team can conclude the year on the best possible way if they manage to beat their old nemesis of Astralis, in the grand final of IEM Global Challenge later today.
Jake “Stewie2k” Yip spoke with the desk following their impressive victory against BIG last night, where the American touches on the Astralis matchup. Stewie2K believes that they have good a chance for winning the grand fina, because as he explains it’s not an Astralis team in their prime.
The route towards the Grand Final wasn’t straightforward and effortless for the 22-year old American. Stewie2K’s mouse stopped working on the worst possible time, right in the middle of the semifinal at the most important event of 2020. He ended up playing with a different mouse, which he clearly wasn’t that comfortable with, something he also clarified in the post-game interview. Stewie2k ended the series with a 0.75 rating, and a 20-42 K-D.
Stewie2K writes in a new tweet, that the mouse problem is fixed.
