Spirit eliminate Dignitas to progress to the semi-finals
mir and company are through to the semi-finals at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown following a 2-1 victory over Dignitas.
Spirit managed to come out on top after an exciting battle in the Quarter-final at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, which saw the Russian-Ukrainian side take down Dignitas 2-1 to book a spot in the semi-finals. f0rest and company leave the tournament on a 5-8th place and take home $10.000 in prize earning.

Spirit kicked off Dignitas’ map pick of Nuke promisingly on the defense, storming to a 8-2 lead despite losing the pistol round. However, after a poor start from Dignitas, f0rest and company took control of proceedings to lower their deficit to three rounds before halftime. As the teams switched sides, Dignitas shut down Spirit’s offense and found themselves with 15-11 lead, before the Russian-Ukrainian side fought back to 14-15. Despite a good comeback attempt, degster and company didn’t manage to grab the last round, instead Dignitas took a 1-0 series lead by closing out the map 16-14.
On the second map of the series, Dust2, Spirit finished off the first half with a 9-6 lead even though they had a slow start. The two teams started off the second half by trading rounds, but it was Spirit who ran away the map victory as they strung five rounds together in the end to close out the map 16-9. Spirit’s mir stepped up huge with a 1.60 rating and lead his team to victory.
Spirit wrapped up the series 2-1 by closing out the decider of Inferno 16-7. degster and company stood strong and were in complete control of the game, leaving no doubt that they were the better team.
