s1mple: Trash talkers make me stronger – First MVP of 2021
Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev had an impressive rise throughout the entire competition and earned a well-deserved MVP.
The Ukrainian superstar begins 2021 on a high note as he was crowned the tournament’s MVP of BLAST Premier Global Final and was once again the main catalyst behind NAVI.
“I think we are stronger than last year, as you can see we can actually pull off some comebacks and we have more belief in each other. We just keep practicing every day, discussing things, fixing mistakes. Everyone wants to reach this goal. We want to stay at the top for as long as possible,” s1mple said after the series.
When the stakes were the highest on the final day of the tournament, s1mple still went on to play like a beast, delivering a 1.47 rating against Vitality in the consolidation final and a 1.57 rating in the grand final against the mighty Danes.
The Ukrainian beast didn’t only manage to perform well at the final day, but over the course of the whole tournament, he averaged extraordinary numbers. He leads 12 different event leaderboards, including overall rating, KAST, damage per round, kills per round, and opening duels.
